About the Artist
I strive to create art that is emotionally real and honest, even if
it is dark and disturbing. However, I do not simply want to
express an emotion. I want to provoke an emotional reaction
in the viewer as well. To me, the emotion elicited is just as
important as the emotion expressed in the painting. I want to
unmask the feelings that people try to hide, the feelings that
people are too polite or too ashamed to admit to having. In
the end, I want people to confront their own feelings when they
view my paintings.
